Although fans had high expectations regarding the release of Destiny 2, Bungie failed to live up to fans’ expectations. In order to remedy the whole situation, the company recently released a detailed roadmap for Destiny 2 for next couple of months. However, what happens afterwards is still a mystery as there is no significant detail available to gamers at the moment. Recently, during an investors call, Activision has confirmed that gamers will get a major expansion to Destiny 2 later this year.
This latest confirmation comes as earlier the company revealed that the game’s second major expansion is coming in this May. The last major expansion, Curse of Osiris came out in early December which contained a brand new storyline.
Talking about the upcoming release, Hirshberg, CEO of Activision said, “This is an incredibly passionate group of players and that passion is a good thing, even when the sentiment is critical, because it shows how deeply people care about the game, and we think that’s one of the things that makes this a great franchise, and we’re fully committed to listening to and communicating with our community more frequently and more transparently than ever and making the right changes to improve the experience and we think we have the right path forward.”
While no details are available at the moment, it’s great to see that there will be some major content until the end of the year. As for next couple of weeks, the next major update for Destiny 2 is set to drop next week.
