Although in recent months Alexa, Siri and Google Assistant based products have dominated news related to virtual assistants, Microsoft’s Cortana remains to be one of the most popular digital assistants out there. Unsurprisingly, Microsoft is trying to integrate its digital assistant in as many products as possible and recently, the company has confirmed that Cortana is now available on IFTTT.
In case you didn’t know, IFTTT is an automation application where users can create condition based scenarios to control different products. As we use our smartphones on a regular basis, IFTTT can make the process of completing different tasks much faster. For instance, you can put command in the app to automatically send a copy of an image you might take using your smartphone’s camera to an email address.
And now, Cortana can help you to accomplish this by avoiding the need to manually enter the command. Like other voice assistants, you can set up IFTTT by using Cortana. The company wrote in its blog post, “Today, we are thrilled to announce that Microsoft’s Cortana is now on IFTTT and to welcome new communities of voice users to the flexibility of Applets. Available as a mobile app, Windows 10 app, and speaker — Cortana is ready to help wherever you go.”
In case you haven’t tried out the app yourself yet, you might want to give it a try if you are looking for a non-traditional to-do app to stay on top of your daily routine.
