Twitter Starts Testing “Bookmarks” Feature on Android

Earlier last year, Twitter announced that it will be bringing bookmarks feature to the platform to help users come back to Tweets they find interesting. While the feature went into public beta shortly afterwards, news related to the feature have been pretty scarce. However, the company has recently started testing the “Bookmarks” feature on the latest beta of Twitter Android app.

As the name suggests, bookmark feature will allow users to save private copy of a tweet they would like to read in a future date. The company expects that the feature will make it easier to follow tweets from others as users will no longer be required to retweet or like to save a tweet in their timeline.

At the moment however, it’s unclear how long users will be able to keep the bookmarked tweet in their accounts. In addition to this, Twitter will need to clarify several questions to make the feature well known among users. With beta out, it’s likely that we will get the bookmark feature to the official app in the next couple of weeks.
