While reports over last couple of weeks have claimed that Samsung is set to introduce Galaxy S9 during MWC next month, up until now, there was no confirmation from the company. Luckily, the South Korea giant has now confirmed that it will announce the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus at an Unpacked event on Feb. 25 in Barcelona, Spain prior to Mobile World Congress.
The event is set to run from Feb. 26 to March 1. While there isn’t a lot of details regarding the upcoming smartphone, the invite for the event has teased updates for the smartphone’s camera with the tagline. “The Camera. Reimagined.”
While rumors for a long time suggested that we will get Galaxy S9 at the beginning of the year, such rumors never materialized. However, the latest flagship will come nearly a month earlier than the arrival of Galaxy S8. Back in last year, Samsung introduced Galaxy S8 in March with the device becoming available shortly afterwards.
