Although expectations were pretty high for Destiny 2, it failed to meet players’ expectations. At the moment, Bungie is still addressing different problems associated with the game. However, Kotaku’s lead news editor Jason Schreier has revealed that another installment in the series is already in the work.
This latest report is highly surprising considering the problems Bungie is facing with the latest installment. However, Schreier has cited the same anonymous sources which spilled secrets related to the first game back in 2014.
While the news is surprising, it won’t be the first time developers have decided to take on another project. For instance, CD Projekt RED was working on both The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s expansion packs and Cyberpunk 2077 at the same time. However, if you have played Destiny 2, then there is every reason to be worried about the news. Although Destiny 2 was promised to be a complete sequel, it failed to deliver upon its release. Earlier last week, Bungie unveiled its roadmap for this year with a list of features which should have been added in the game at the time of its release.
In case you are wondering about the rush, you should know that Bungie has signed a 10 year deal with Activision which requires the developers to release a major title in every three years. As a result, we might get a release later in 2020 rather than sooner.
