If you have been following Mark Zuckerberg, then you already know that the Facebook founder and CEO likes to give himself a personal challenge every year. This year, Zuckerberg revealed that the world’s largest social network has a lot of works to do to make the network a pleasant place for everyone. Afterwards, he went on to say that fixing the social network will be his personal challenge for this year.
As Facebook has attracted criticisms for its failure to combat fake news throughout this year, it will be interesting to see how world’s largest social network goes ahead with the resolution. In a lengthy post, Zuckerberg revealed that he will be working to mitigate negative impact of the network by working on removing abusive and hate speech.
He said, “We currently make too many errors enforcing our policies and preventing misuse of our tools.”
“This will be a serious year of self-improvement and I’m looking forward to learning from working to fix our issues together.”
As this is a significant year for the social network, if the tools are properly implemented, the social network will end the year on a much higher note.
