As you can already guess from the name, with the latest feature, users will be able to know about speed of a network before connecting to it. According to a recently published support article, there will be four different rankings for WiFi networks.
While you can easily disable the feature from settings, in case you regularly use public WiFi network, the latest feature should come in handy when the feature becomes available.
