It’s no secret that Facebook is working on bringing more original shows to its video platform. And now, the social networking giant has just ordered ten episodes for a show based on Grimm Brothers story.
The latest news comes as Facebook’s Director of Development Ricky Van Veen announced the show at NATPE. According to the announcement, Blumhouse Television will be part of the production with True Blood executive producer Raelle Tucker will be running the show.
While Facebook has ordered the show, at the moment, it’s unclear when we will get to see the show via Facebook Watch. Talking about the series, Tucker said, “This a young female protagonist we’ve never seen on screen before. She’s complex, brave, funny…and sometimes dangerous. And she has no hands. But she refuses to let that, or her bizarre, brutal past define her or limit her. That’s the message of our series: no matter what life throws at you – ultimately only you have the power to decide what you believe and what you become. I’m beyond excited and honored to bring this unique, inspiring, badass character to life.”
While there is no confirmation regarding the show’s cast members, we are likely to get news related to the show in the coming months.
