Following Jay-Z’s recent comments during CNN on Saturday night, US president Donald Trump has hit back at the rapper as Trump took credit for the declining African-American unemployment rate.
Following the interview, Trump said on Twitter, “Somebody please inform Jay-Z that because of my policies, Black Unemployment has just been reported to be at the LOWEST RATE EVER RECORDED!”

Earlier, Jay-Z hit at Trump as Van Jones asked him if it is OK for Trump to make controversial comments. the rapper responded negatively as he mentioned that money does not equate to happiness. He said, “You treat people like human beings. That’s the main point. It goes back to the whole thing — ‘treat me really bad and pay me well.’ It’s not going to lead to happiness, it’s going to lead to, again, the same thing. Everyone’s going to be sick.”
Shortly after the tweet, users were quick to point out that a number of factors including racial discrimination, lowered educational background as well as criminal records contributes towards the higher unemployment rate.
