Last couple of days have been pretty hectic for tech companies due to the revelations of Spectre and Meltdown. Understandably, Apple was also one pf the major companies to be affected by latest security vulnerabilities. Shortly afterwards the company released update to protect its users against Meltdown and the Cupertino giant has now released updates to both iOS and macOS to tackle Spectre.
The latest security patches have started to roll out as part of iOS 11.2.2 and macOS High Sierra 10.13.2. While the latest updates won’t be complete fix at the moment, the company revealed that it will continue to develop and test further mitigations.
At the moment, the oldest iPhone model affected by the security vulnerabilities is iPhone 5s. If you are using one of the newer models since then, you should be updating your smartphones and other devices as soon as possible to protect yourself against possible attacks.
