Skype for Android Is Getting Material Design

Earlier this month, Microsoft updated the Skype app for iOS and included support for iPhone X’s display while bringing a new user interface. And now, the company is testing the new user interface which brought back the bottom bar with its Android application.

The latest features are included in the latest update which is now rolling out for Skype Insiders. Microsoft updated its application to meet Google’s Material Design guidelines for bottom bar navigation. Apart from this, you will notice the Floating Action Button as well as header and search icon to feel more at home on Android.

In the latest update, the company is also rolling out a new feature named SuperComposer. If you tap on the option, you will see your recently used contacts as well as options to perform new actions.

However, note that the latest updates are available for Skype Insiders only/ if you want to try out the features, you can head to Play Store to download the application. Microsoft is expected to roll out the features in the coming weeks when the app comes out of beta phase.
