Back during Black Friday this year, Samsung introduced its trade-in promotion to give you as much as $400 in credit if you wanted to buy Galaxy S8, S8+ and Galaxy Note 8 smartphones. If you wanted to buy the smartphone at the time but couldn’t afford it, you will be glad to know that the company has brought back the promotion for eligible smartphones. Starting recently, you can visit the official Samsung website to turn in your eligible smartphones to get the savings.
The $400 savings applies for certain flagship devices. If you currently own an iPhone 7 or higher, LG V20, Galaxy S7, Google Pixel or Pixel XL, then you will get the maximum $400 savings. On the other hand, if you turn in iPhone 6S or 6S+, you will get a $300 credit for the devices. Moreover, for LG G6, Galaxy S6 smartphones, iPhone 6 and 6+ qualify for $200 trade-in value. Lastly, for the Galaxy S5 phones, LG G5, iPhone 5, iPhone 5SE, and the iPhone 5S, you will get a $150 in credit.
If your smartphone qualifies (functional display, no charging issue as well as not blacklisted) for the trade-in program, you will need to disable several features before sending the phone in. Prior to sending, you will need to complete factory reset to ensure that all of your personal data has been removed from the device. In case your phone does not meet the criteria, Samsung listed that it will give you $25 credit for the device.
