Over last couple of months, Google Maps has brought a number of useful features to the popular services. Among other things, the application has got better to give users better navigation experience. For instance, earlier this year, the map brought features to let you know where you have parked your car. And now, the Google Map team is working on bringing a useful update to the application to let you know when you need to get off from a public transportation.
The latest news comes thanks to a report by TechCrunch which revealed that following the update, you will get a step-by-step instruction in the public transit route. After you have reached the destination, the application will notify you about the arrival. Moreover, the notifications will appear on Lock screen to minimize the risk that you might miss the connection.
At the moment however, there is no official date for the upcoming update. However, the TechCrunch report has revealed that the functionality will be rolling out soon to the main application with Android users getting the benefits first.
