Although Chrome remains to be the most popular web browser in market at the moment, Google never listed the application in Windows Store. However, in a surprising move, Google has published Chrome in the Windows Store earlier this week.
If you were thinking that you will be able to download the application directly from the Windows Store, then you will be disappointed to know that the search engine giant has packaged an application for Windows 10 which automatically opens itself and goes to Chrome download page.
The latest move certainly clarifies that Google doesn’t have any plan to bring its browser to Microsoft’s store soon. For instance, Windows Store has a requirement that browser in the app store must use HTML and JavaScript engines provided by Windows 10. If Google had to use the store, then it would be required to create an app especially for Windows 10S.
Moreover, most of the Windows 10 machines at the moment do not run Windows 10S. As a result, it’s not surprising that Google isn’t working on bringing the application directly to the App Store.
