Like other sites on internet which are popular for discussions related to different topics, discussions on Facebook can be pretty contentious if the post attracts people with different opinions. In such posts, users can be abusive and attack others who do not share similar opinion. If you are one of the users who want to stay away from such comments, then you will be glad to know that Facebook is rolling out a feature in comments that will give you the ability to choose who sees your comments.
According to latest reports, Facebook is currently trying a feature for posting private comments. Thanks to the latest feature, when you post a comment on a public post, you will have the ability to make the comment private one like your post so that you can choose who sees your comments. If you don’t share others idea regarding the matter, then the latest feature will save you from potential abuses from random persons.
If you have the latest feature available, you will notice that there is a padlock in the comment area which will give you options to choose who sees your comment. If you click on the padlock, you will be able to choose your friends or just the post owner who can see your comment.
As the feature can be extremely useful for those who want to keep themselves away from potential abuses, the feature will give everyone opportunity to share their opinions on something contentious. However, as the feature is currently in testing phase, we will have to wait to find out if the feature becomes available in the coming days.
