Although we are months away from the release of Galaxy S9, rumors have started surfacing in full flow as several reports have claimed that the company is planning on launching its flagship smartphone earlier than its traditional Late April release date. While we will have to wait few more weeks to find out if that’s the case, recent rumors have suggested that Samsung has started testing Galaxy S9.
The latest rumors surrounding Galaxy S9 comes via Galaxy Club which reported that both S9 and the Plus model are currently being tested with Android 8.0. Although you might be surprised by the choice since Android 8.1 now available, given the smartphone maker’s history with implementing operating system in their smartphone. For a long time, Samsung has begun testing smartphones to ensure that software and hardware work well perfectly in the final product.
Moreover, Android 8.1 is still in the beta stage as users of Nexus and Pixel devices have started to get the updated operating system. As not all of Android updates are targeted towards non-Google device, Samsung over the past has added missing features with the released operating system.
