Apple Is Working on Fix for iPhone X Screen Issues in Cold Weather

The wait for iPhone X is finally over as Apple’s much anticipated smartphone is finally available for consumers. However, similar to Pixel 2 and Pixel X XL, Apple warned consumers that the phone might experience different screen related issues as it revealed some pre-caution you might take to prevent such issues from occurring. However, according to some complaints by users on Reddit, the smartphone is experiencing some screen related issues in cold weather.

In a recent Reddit post, several users have complained that in cold weather, the touch screen becomes unresponsive. A Redditor wrote, “I’ve noticed that my iPhone X screen becomes very unresponsive as soon as I step outside. It literally takes 2 seconds from going inside to the cold outdoors and my screen stops being very responsive. I try swiping on websites and it doesn’t register my finger. It’s very noticeable. Is anyone else having this problem?”

Since then, several users have pointed out the latest problem. Luckily enough, Apple has acknowledged the problem and revealed that the issue is a temporary one and will be fixed automatically. Nevertheless, the company has revealed that it is working on bringing a fix with an upcoming software update. The company wrote, “We are aware of instances where the iPhone X screen will become temporarily unresponsive to touch after a rapid change to a cold environment. After several seconds the screen will become fully responsive again. This will be addressed in an upcoming software update.”

However, Apple didn’t reveal the exact timeline for the upcoming update.
