With several highly ambitious vehicles set to make debut in next several years, Volkswagen has appointed David Hanna as the Head of Fleet for the company’s Commercial Vehicles line.
Hanna’s appointment comes after Chris Black left the brand earlier this month as he wanted to pursue opportunities outside of the group. The appointment of David Hanna will serve as a welcome change thanks to his immense experience in the field. Hanna is currently serving a National Fleet Sales Manager for Audi UK where he joined back in 2014. Before that, he worked for companies like Nissan GB and Mitsubishi UK where he held several important roles.
Talking about the appointment, Head of Sales Operation, James Douglas said, “David and I worked together at Audi and I know he will bring a wealth of fleet experience and enthusiasm to his new role. Following the launch of the new Crafter earlier this year, our focus on fleet sales, both large and small, has never been greater.”
Hanna is also enthusiastic about his upcoming role as he said, “I’m looking forward to taking on a new challenge in the world of commercial vehicles. Customer demands are changing at a pace, and it’s exciting to be a part of this. Forging strong relationships with fleet managers and providing our customers with a total mobility package which ensures their fleet runs smoothly is key to our future success in the industry.”
As the company continues to recover from its latest incidents involving emissions, it will be interesting to see how sales figures for the company turns out over next several years. Despite the emission scandal, the company has several high profile projects at the moment which are likely to bring positive light on the company.
