Earlier last year, Stranger Things became a surprising hit as Netflix subscribers are currently waiting for second season of the show. Ahead of the much anticipated season 2 premier at the end of this month, reports revealed that the show’s producer Shawn Levy is working on another psychological thriller, Epiphany for The CW.
While not a lot of details of the upcoming series is known so far, reports suggested that the show will describe story of a group of gifted strangers who are recruited to solve a complicated code. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the upcoming series will feature similar works of Stanley Kubrick and Agatha Christie.
However, as of now, the show has received a script commitment from the network. However, given that the show will bring producer of Strange Things and the network has a number of superhero shows at the moment, it won’t be surprising if the network decides to give Epiphany green light for production.
Despite all the positive news, it’s too early to conclude the future of the show. However, CW is currently having difficulties attracting new audiences over last several years and we might see the new show after all. As for now, if you haven’t watched Stranger Things, you can head to Netflix to watch the first season. If you are already a fan, then you will be glad to know that Stranger Things Season 2 will be available for streaming on Netflix no October 27.
