Although smartphones have become essential part of our daily lives, they are still far from replacing computers and related devices when it comes to certain tasks. For instance, it’s particularly time consuming to print out directly from smartphones. If you are looking for a printer made specifically for smartphones, then you might want to take a look at Fujifilm Instax SP-3 instant printer which is designed especially for smartphones as it will allow users to print image instantly using a smaller angular printing device.
The latest addition to Fujifilm’s Instax printer lineup will be available starting from November 17th. If you purchase the printer, you will need to use the Instax SHARE app which is able to print square-format instant prints with 1:1 aspect ratio. In addition to the images from your smartphone, you can also print out images from social media or other applications.
According to the company, the processing and printing of an image takes just 13 seconds and the added application will do all the work and adjust the image for you before printing. The resulting images will have an 800 x 800 pixels resolution with 318 dpi.
Unlike traditional printers, the latest printer has a built-in battery that can power up the printer for up to 160 photos before it will require recharging. As for connectivity, the printer and smartphones will connect over standard 802.11b/g/n WiFi. At the time of release, Instax SHARE will support only JPEG and PNG image format. However, it’s unknown if it will support more format in the coming months. as JPEG and PNG are the most popular format, chances are you won’t require support for other formats in case you want to use the printer on the go.
