As Facebook continues to grow its services, we are getting new features on a regular basis. And now, the social networking giant has announced that you can order food directly from the platform.
According to an official statement from the company, several companies including Delivery.com, DoorDash, ChowNow, Zuppler, EatStreet have already signed up to use the service. The official statement said, “Ordering food for takeout or delivery is supposed to be simple. That’s the point. But somehow it’s gotten complicated. First you need to decide what to eat, then you have to sift through a bunch of options and services.”
Although there are other applications already providing this functionality, more users are using the social network to complete other tasks. As a result, it’s not surprising to see that Facebook is bringing more features to the network. In order to use the feature, you will need to head over to the Explore Menu and select Order Food section. Following this, you will see a list of different options from which you can select an option and start your ordering process. If you are already using account created with a delivery service, you can use that option or create one without leaving the application.
As of now, the feature is available for users in the U.S. and it’s unclear if the service will make its way to users from other countries.
