If you currently own any of the Google Home speakers and a Chromecast, you can use the feature to play music or videos on any Cast-enabled device. While you could use the smart speaker to accomplish this, you couldn’t do it from phone. As Google continues to push the smart speaker system, Google Assistant on your phone has brought support for Chromecast.
Thanks to the latest support, you can now choose which Cast-enabled device you want to send media to and the assistant to control playback by voice.
While the latest feature coming to the smartphone might seem a way to save up money, it can benefit Google in the long run as users will now have more exposure to the usage of smart speaker.
