Facebook to Add Options to Buy Cars in Its Marketplace

Although Facebook introduced its marketplace feature few months back, it’s still too early to assess the feature’s success in terms of user engagements. However, it seems that the company is satisfied with the performance of its Marketplace feature as the company has announced automobile focused features inside Marketplace.

In the official announcement, the social networking giant mentioned that automobiles are one of the Marketplace’s most popular section and as a result, the company has decide to partner with other companies such as Cars.com, Auction123, CDK Global, and SocialDealer.

When the new features go live, you will be able to sort listings based on vehicles’ different features such as year, make, model, mileage, vehicle type, and transmission. Additionally, you will be able to send dealerships direct messages using the platform.

The company mentioned that it is testing other features for different sections. While it’s not known when the features for other sections will arrive for the platform, the automobile focused features are expected to roll out to users in the coming weeks.
