Although Facebook introduced Snapchat like story feature few months back, the feature is yet to become massively popular. While we will have to wait to find out if the feature attracts more users in the coming days, Facebook has revealed that it will bring the stories feature to pages in the coming days.
Facebook stories works similar to both Snapchat and Instagram’s stories feature as it enables users to share combined content with their friends for a day to let everyone know what they are up to without sharing a lot of images or status on the news feed. The company introduced the feature to Facebook shortly after introducing same feature on Instagram hoping that Facebook’s large user base would make the feature instantly popular. However, it didn’t turn out to be that way. But now, it seems that Facebook is simply offering more ways to pages to attract fans for their causes.
This latest announcement comes thanks to a recent statement made to TechCrunch where Facebook confirmed that the stories will roll out to pages in the coming months. While there is no official date of release, it’s likely that the network will introduce the feature sooner than later.
This news comes as Facebook continues to offer more options to make the feature popular among users. Few days earlier, the company brought the cross-posting ability for stories to both Instagram and Facebook at the same time to increase engagement among users. Back in early August, the social networking giant also confirmed that the story feature will arrive for desktop users as well although pages will be left out of the announced feature.
