As Disney is easily one of the top companies in the entertainment industry, it’s is surprisingly easy to confuse among different channels the studio offers. Back in 2012, Disney launched three separate applications to separate contents across three different categories and age ranges. Recently, the company started pulling of its content from different streaming platform to create its own platform and now, the company has decided to bring all of the three aforementioned channels into one by launching DisneyNOW app.
The latest DisneyNOW app will bring all of the three channels, Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney Junior into one. However, it doesn’t detail how parents will be able to keep an eye on their children’s entertainment habits. The channel however, will allow users to create profile with its own watch history to keep a track of the videos they have watched.
Although we are several months away from Disney’s own streaming service, chances are the company has decided to offer all of the channels in one place to cater everyone from one place. The ability to create multiple user profile is probably the indication how the company is planning on moving forward to create its own streaming platform. However, we will have to wait to find out how the plan turns out in near future.
