Christoph Waltz Won’t Return for Blofeld in Bond 25

After months of speculations whether Daniel Craig will return to play James Bond in the next bond movie or not, the actor recently confirmed that he will return to reprise the role of iconic character. As a result, fans assumed that most of the major characters will return in the next Bond movie. However, recently actor Christoph Waltz revealed that he won’t be playing his role as Ernst Stavro Blofeld in James Bond 25. Most importantly, the actor revealed that he won’t be coming back to the franchise in future as well.

Talking about the role, the actor said, “No, I’m sorry. I’m really sad, but that’s the tradition, that there is a new…name. Sorry. I would’ve liked to.” If you are a fan of the franchise, then you might already know that no actor since You Only Live Twice has ever reprised the role of Blofeld. As the character has been played by different actors in different movies, it’s unsurprising if Christoph Waltz does not return to the next movie.

As for now, there is not a lot of confirmation regarding the upcoming movie. Apart from the confirmation that Daniel Craig will return to lead the cast members, the studio is yet to hire a director for the upcoming movie. Bond 25 is set to release on November 8, 2019. With more than two years to go, more details regarding the movie is expected to arrive in the coming months.
