The Real Jean Grey Will Return in New X-Men Comics

If you are a regular comic book reader, then you are already familiar with the role of characters’ death on the entire storyline. For example, some of the major comic-book storylines have revolved around the death of major characters. Interestingly enough, in the comic books no character really stays dead and one of the most important characters of X-Men, Jean Grey is set to return from death in a new limited series called Phoenix Resurrection: The Return of Jean Grey.

The latest news comes via who reported that the character is returning to the storyline with the Marvel’s upcoming titles in December. According to the report, the Phoenix Resurrection will be part of the new Marvel Legacy initiative which will see some of the major characters resurrections. The official synopsis of Phoenix Resurrection: The Return of Jean Grey reads, “Strange events are no surprise to the X-Men, but when events start occurring that are more specific and strange than usual, the group is forced to confront the truth: could Jean be alive after all? And how will this Jean Grey deal with a world that is now so different from the one she left years ago?”

While there already is a Jean Grey in the present day storyline, she is far from the original aged-version of the character that had one of the most interesting comic book storyline of all times. While it is not known how the character will return in the storyline, Marvel senior editor Mark Paniccia revealed, “Something this big will leave quite a footprint on the Marvel Universe. Jean will have a startling new role after this, and you’re left wondering, ‘How will the rest of the X-Men respond? What will happen to young Jean Grey?'”

However, we have quite a long wait before we will see what the storyline is all about as the first issue of the comic will be available from December 27th. Until then, hopefully we will learn more about the possible storyline in the coming months.
