If you are a big fan of George R.R. Martin’s work, then there’s some good news for you as one of his work is set to hit small screen sometime in near future. According to a latest report from TVLine, the show is set to debut in SyFy. However, due to the author’s ongoing deal with HBO, he won’t be part of the show to any extent.
According to the latest report, SyFy has ordered a pilot episode for George R.R. Martin’s Nightflyers. If you are familiar with the author’s work, then you might already know that Nightflyers which tells the story of crew members of a ship. Shortly after the members asked to go to outer space to find alien life, things don’t go according to plans. The events result in crew members doubting one another as they start to fight for survival.
While there was a movie based on the novella back in 1987, the movie wasn’t well received by critics. Despite that, Robert Jaffe, writer of the script for the movie has taken the work to give the project another go. However, as of now, there is no confirmation when we might see the upcoming project. Given that George R.R. Martin is going to be busy with his increasing schedule, we might not see him getting involved in the new series.
