Although actress Michelle Monaghan made her debut in the Mission Impossible franchise back in 2006, we didn’t see her character play a large role throughout the movies in the later part of the franchise. While she made a brief appearance in the Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol, she didn’t appear in the latest movie. However, recently it was confirmed that the actress will be returning to play as Julia Meade in the upcoming Mission: Impossible 6.
Earlier yesterday, director Christopher McQuarrie posted a picture of the actress on Instagram and shortly afterwards Michelle Monaghan said via Twitter that she will be returning to the franchise. However, there is not a details regarding the extent of her role in the upcoming installment. Other familiar characters are also set to return in the next movie including Simon Pegg’s Benji Dunn, Rebecca Fergusson as Ilsa Faust and Ving Rhames’ Luther Stickle. Recently, it was confirmed that Henry Cavill will be joining as a new member of the franchise.
As of now, there isn’t a lot of plot details of the movie so far although the movie is more than likely to feature several stunts performed by Tom Cruise himself. The movie is currently in production and set for a July 28, 2018 release date. With little over a year away from the movie, we are likely to get more details in the coming months.
