Few weeks earlier, reports surfaced that Google is planning on introducing new design for its YouTube App and recently, the company has started rolling out update of the popular application. However, with the new interface, you might have little difficulty at start if you are used to the traditional layout of the application.
With the latest update, uses are getting a new interface along with different placements for the navigation buttons. While the previously the home screen of the official YouTube app displayed main navigation buttons at the top of the screen, with the latest update, all of the navigation buttons have been moved down of the screen to make it easier to navigate. However, the account tab of the app has been moved up of the screen at the top right corner.
If you click on the account tab however, you won’t be able to check the history of your activities. However, your browsing history within the app has been moved to a new ‘Library’ menu where you can view all of your streaming related activities in single place.
While the latest updates have so far been criticized by users for being too difficult to use, generally most of the Google’s updates are well received in the long run. For example, if you are browsing through a long playlist, and navigate away to a different menu, you can pick up from where you left the library. Thus, saving you hassle to scroll all the way down. While these new features can be difficult to use at start, in the long run, the update will receive high amount of praises as it has made it easier to use an extensive streaming site like YouTube.
