YouTube’s official Android app’s material design interface is pretty popular among users and everyone over a long period of time has been waiting to get a similar design for the desktop version of the popular streaming service. It seems that the users are finally getting their wishes as the company has decided to finally unveil the design for the users on the network.
The newly introduced dark theme cuts down the glare and make the site’s background dart for better viewing experiences.
Talking about the new design, YouTube Product Manager Brian Marquardt said that new design is clean and fresh, and it removes all the visuals that distract user from browsing and watching. In addition to the web version of the network, the design is implemented across all Google platform.
However, the design isn’t completely available for all users as the company is currently taking users’ feedback about the new design. If you are interested in trying out the new look for the network, you can go to youtube.com/new. Afterwards, you can switch to traditional settings easily from the account menu. Given that the company has started to take users’ feedback, Google might introduce the feature in the coming weeks.
