Over last couple of years, a large number of important Twitter executives left the company as the company started struggling to keep itself relevant. However, one of the co-founders Biz Stone, went on a hiatus and after nearly 6 years, he has decided to rejoin the company.
The co-founder stepped down from the company way back in 2011 and since then he has worked in different projects and Stone said that he was invited back by Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey. He said, “My top focus will be to guide the company culture, that energy, that feeling. This is where Jack, and Twitter’s inestimable CMO, Leslie Berland, feel I can have the most powerful impact … Somebody mentioned I’m just filling the “Biz shaped hole” I left. You might even say the job description includes being Biz Stone.”
Hopefully we will learn more about the job and the role he plays in as Twitter’s struggles continue. The company recently lost out major NFL live streaming deal to Amazon and trying to bring changes to the platform to increase users’ engagements.
