Few months earlier, Nintendo launched Nintendo Switch which performed pretty well in the market. And now, it seems that the company’s success has made Sony to consider its luck again in the handheld market.
According to latest rumors on internet, Sony might be bringing a new handheld console at E3 2017.
The latest reports come from a Chinese games media site which claimed that they have received an invitation for the presentation of a new gaming hardware reveal at the company’s China office. Understandably, it started the rumors that the company is planning on entering the handheld market after recent success by its competitors.
The latest report has claimed that the handheld will be revealed during this year’s E3 event and will be a successor to the PS Vita. If that’s the case, then it will be interesting to see how the handheld performs compared to Nintendo Switch. However, given that there hasn’t been any official announcement yet, you should take the latest news with a grain of salt.
We will need to wait few more weeks to learn more about the rumor and if Sony indeed releases a new console, it will be worthwhile to see how the new console performs.
