As Skoda is planning on taking full benefit of its parent company Volkswagen’s partnership with Tata Motors, the company is considering a comeback high-volume small car category, while driving in a mini-SUV and an entry-level sedan.
If the latest reports are true, then the company’s vehicles are set to be introduced in 2019 thanks to its collaboration with Tata.
This news comes after two companies agreed to seek out opportunities in the existing market as Skoda is currently planning on leading the project in future if such development indeed come into fruition. The collaboration was agreed with a view to producing variety of different vehicles that will meet consumers’ needs.
This latest development is far from surprising given that Skoda is working to revamp its Indian operations for last couple of years as the company aims to recover from its poor service quality and falling customer confidence.
As of now, Skoda is working towards its independent plan to increase total number of shipped vehicles as the company ended last year with a disappointing sales of 13,370 units compared to 15,457 units sold in the previous year.
