Smartphone market at present is dominated by Samsung and Apple and over the years, both companies have produced some of the best smartphones. As a result, it’s not surprising that Samsung’s flagship smartphones are always one of the most anticipated devices in the smartphone market. However, although it was first released in 2014, Samsung’s Galaxy S5 is still the most popular smartphone produced by Samsung according to shared data by market research firm KantarWordpanel.
The most recent data collected by the firm revealed that nearly 16 percent of all Samsung smartphone users are currently using Galaxy S5 with Galaxy S7 in the second place. Interestingly, Galaxy S6 holds the third place with over 11 percent market shares. In addition to that, data collected from last 12 months by the firm suggest that almost 28 percent of the users have upgraded their smartphone to a newer model and more than 52 percent of these users have chosen either Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 edge. With S8 becoming available, this data is likely to change over the coming months.
