Facebook has for a long period of time has suffered from its fake news problem and despite the network’s attempt to combat the fake news issue, the problem is far from over. However, Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg has recently revealed that the social networking giant is planning on hiring 3,000 staffs to review and remove the reported content from the platform.

He made the announcement through a Facebook post earlier on Wednesday. In the post he said, “Over the last few weeks, we’ve seen people hurting themselves and others on Facebook — either live or in video posted later. If we’re going to build a safe community, we need to respond quickly. We’re working to make these videos easier to report so we can take the right action sooner — whether that’s responding quickly when someone needs help or taking a post down.”

Over last couple of months, Facebook has seen a rise in violence as last month, a Cleveland man on Easter Sunday (April 16) uploaded a clip showing himself shooting and killing a random 74-year-old man on the street. Apart from that, Facebook has been accused of being slow to respond to the users’ reports.

As a result, the network has understood that increasing number of stuffs should help the members to have better user experience over the network. In the post, Zuckerberg also revealed that Facebook is currently building tools to help staffs to remove inappropriate contents automatically from the network that violets the policies.
