Widescreen curved monitors are extremely popular among gamers despite their hefty price tag. Acer has decided to join other companies as it recently introduced its new Predator Z35P curved monitor with 3440 x 1440 resolution.
The latest monitor has a curved panel that is created to complete a visual circle and the company has implemented the industry average 1,800mm radius. The monitor uses VA panel technology which offers better color and better viewing angels than the traditional TN and IPS panels.
In order to provide great gaming experience, Acer has implemented Nvidia’s G-Sync technology which matches the monitor’s refresh rate with the card’s output rate. If you are already familiar with the technology, you might know that implementation of the technology prevents screen from experiencing different input lag.
In addition to this, the Z35P uses the company’s GameView technology which activates on-screen crosshairs for better gameplay experience. Acer has made it significantly easier to adjust different settings along with the ability to save the settings in three different user profiles. The monitor is available for pre-order now for $1100. The monitor is expected to start shipping later this month.
