Acer has just released two new laptops in its popular Switch series with Switch 5 and Switch 3 models.
The switch 3 is pretty impressive as it features traditional 2-in-1 design. The laptop is pretty sold with its 12.2 inch display with impressive 1920 x 1200 pixels. However, the other specifications falls below expectations as different modes run with Intel Pentium and Celeron processor. Apart from that, the laptop packs a 4GB of LPDDR3 SDRAM4. The model also supports 32GB, 64GB and 128GB eMMC memory. As expected, the Switch 3 measures just 11.6” X 8” X .65” and weighs .9kg. The Switch 3 model is said to last up to 8 hours.
Switch 5 is considerably better than Switch 3 in case you need more computing power. The Acer Switch 5 comes with 7th generation Intel Core i5 or Core i7 processors accompanied by up to 8GB LPDDR3 SDRAM. Apart from this, the laptop also features up to 512GB SSD drive that should give you significant performance boost.
In addition to its impressive hardware, Switch 5 also features a solid screen with 2160 x 1440 pixels with IPS touch display. Despite featuring considerably better specs than the Switch 3, Switch 5 weighs just 2.8 lbs. The laptop features fanless cooling system to create a compact design. In addition to higher system configuration compared to Switch 3, the Acer Switch 5 will also offer 10.5 hours of battery life.
If you want to get your hands on one of these 2-in-1 laptops though, you will need to wait until June which is the official timeline given by the company for the release date.
