Although trailer of upcoming Fullmetal Alchemist arrived earlier, it was pretty difficult to understand the context in case you aren’t quite fluent in Japanese. However, the studio recently released the teaser with English subtitles for the upcoming movie and it’s easier for you to understand the context of the movie if you aren’t already familiar with the plot.
Fullmetal Alchemist is set to follow story of two alchemist brothers whose quest to revive their mother using Philosopher’s Stone goes terribly wrong. The trailer starts with the brothers standing in front of the grave of their mother and given that the gravestone is marked with the year 1904 as the year when their mother died, the movie is likely to set in early twentieth century. You can check out the trailer below.
In case you didn’t know, Fullmetal Alchemist is one of the most popular magna series and surprisingly this is the first time a live-action movie based on the book has been created. Given that the magna has managed to sell more than 60 million volumes worldwide, it’s about time the magna got a full live action release. The movie is set to release on December 1 for Japanese audiences. With such huge number of audiences, Warner Bros. might release the movie for U.S audiences shortly afterwards.
