Virgin Media Customers Are Unable to Access Facebook and Instagram

Virgin Media Expands Campaign To Support FSF's 'Twenty's Plenty'

Customers of Virgin Media are currently experiencing issue with their network and can’t long into Facebook or Instagram. After several customers complained that they were unable to use any Facebook provided services, Virgin Media confirmed that the customers are having problems due to DNS related problem and said that some users might be experiencing problems until late evening.

In an official statement, the company said, “We’re aware of an intermittent issue that’s affected some of our broadband customers accessing Facebook and Instagram. We believe this was an issue with Facebook’s servers, which we understand to be resolved. We’re contacting Facebook to confirm our customers can now access these sites.”

Engineers have since then have identified the problem and currently working to restore access to the popular social media networks. However, as mentioned before, you might need to wait little bit longer until you can use the services again.
