Tata is currently the largest automotive makers in the Indian market and the company is planning on becoming the third largest automakers by the end of 2019.
In order to do that, the company is planning on expanding its sales number as Tata has decided to expand its service network to 1500, more than double of current figure of 700. With the company currently sitting in the fifth place, such move should improve the prospect of reaching that lofty goal.
Moreover, the company is planning on becoming a full range automakers in the country with its recent launch of Tata Tigor and three other models in the last year. Despite that, the company has a presence in nearly 60 percent of the market and the company is planning on expanding the market presence by introducing several models in the areas of SUV and similar segments. Last year, the company was fifth out of 18 manufactures and with increased number of models and sales network, the company might just meet its goals.
