Although the company didn’t acknowledge, Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7 fiasco contributed towards its reduced revenue in the first quarter of this year. Although the company sold record amount of Galaxy S8 and S8+ since its release, the recall of the smartphone was pretty big problem as the company didn’t have any flagship smartphone in the market at the time. However, it seems that the company is planning on turning things around as the company is planning on releasing another flagship smartphone after latest release of Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+.
This news comes after rumors earlier this year have suggested that Samsung is planning on ditching the Note lineup completely due to the problems it faced. However, with the latest success of Galaxy S8 and S8+, it seems that the Samsung’s reputation is far from tarnished and it’s more than likely that the company will launch another model within the Note Series later this year.
This news also parallels with the earlier claim by the company that we will see another flagship model launched later this year. Whether Samsung decides to go ahead with the Note series remains to be seen. But, with a massive userbase, if the company decides to launch another flagship with different name, it will hardly have any problem to catch new customers. As of now though, we’ll have to wait and see.
