Samsung opted not to unveil its flagship smartphone during this year’s Mobile World Congress and opted to hold a standalone event for the highly anticipated Galaxy S8 smartphones. Earlier last month, the company revealed both Galaxy S8 and S8+ with high end specifications and display size is the only major differences across two devices. The smartphones are expected to be available for purchase later this month and earlier, Samsung’s official Twitter account for India hinted that the smartphones will be available for Indian consumers starting from April 19th.
However, the company decided to edit the Tweet to remove the date without any explanation. Despite that, the company is expected to launch the smartphones pretty soon in the country.
In case you missed the big unveil during the event, Galaxy S8 and S8+ are pretty similar as both of the smartphones feature 64-bit Octa-core processor, 4GB of RAM, 64 GB of internal storage and 12MP rear and 8MP front camera. As mentioned earlier, there isn’t any major difference between the devices as S8 model as a 5.8 inch screen while S8+ comes with a bigger 6.2 inch screen.
Although the prices of the smartphones aren’t revealed yet, both of the smartphones are pretty much guaranteed to ship as expected given that it’s been pretty long wait for Samsung’s flagship device.
