Although it’s been more than eight months since Google has released Nougat, smartphone makers are taking pretty long to update different models as most recent models are first ones to get the Operating System update apart from latest flagship models. Samsung was no different as it started its rollout three months earlier with Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge and the company has decided to start rolling out OS update for the S6 and S6 edge in India.
This news comes after Samsung revealed that they are reviewing the quality and compatibility before rolling out the update for consumers. However, few weeks earlier, reports claimed that the company has released update for different models in India although later the reports were proven false.
However, finally the update has seemingly started to reach Galaxy S6 and S6 edge users in India as reports have claimed that the update is reaching devices and bringing the Galaxy S6 up to build number G920IDVU3FQD1, and the S6 edge up to G925IDVU3FQD1.
Apart from the Nougat update, the company has also included the March Security update by Google. Hopefully you will be able to experience the improvements Nougat brings to your smartphone.
