Few weeks earlier, Google released beta version of Android 7.1.2 and according to several reports today, some of the Pixel C tablet owners got the official update for their devices. The latest update makes the Pixel C’s interface closer to the Pixels by giving it the same buttons and blue-grey buttons found in the smartphones. Besides that, the fresh update also adds a new multitasking menu which enables user to select and switch up to eight apps simultaneously.
Besides the color tweak, the devices running Android shares similar navigation buttons along with rounded app icons. Additionally, the Pixel C has removed the “app drawer,” with users instead swiping up from the bottom of the screen to see their installed software.
However, it’s not clear when all the users will receive the much anticipated update but it’s expected that the upcoming updates will bring several changes to the Google’s Pixel and Nexus 6 smartphones. Given that the company released the update for Pixel C, you should get update for OS pretty soon as it seems.
