Although Jaguar was scheduled to showcase its XF Sportbrake at the Geneva Motor show earlier last month, the plan never materialized due to design and production delays and it seems that the company is set to debut the upcoming model in the next few weeks. Recently, the turf of the Center Court at Wimbledon was turned to show the outline of XF model.
As of now, the company hasn’t revealed significant details regarding the upcoming car although we are likely to see the model sharing the saloon’s petrol and diesel engines, which currently consists of a 163/180/240hp 2.0-litre diesel, 200/250hp 2.0-litre petrol, 300hp 3.0-litre diesel and a 380hp 3.0-litre petrol.
Talking about the new model, director of design at Jaguar, Ian Callum said, “With XF Sportbrake we’ve created a silhouette which sweeps towards the rear, almost into the distance, and really gives the car a sense of speed and sportiness. It will bring new levels of practicality to the range without sacrificing the dynamic design and agile handling our customers expect.”
