After the Note 7 fiasco, a lot of people might have doubted if Samsung would be able to recover from its Note 7 explosion problem as consumers tend to remember such occurrences for a long time. However, Samsung introduced Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus with incredible features that led new record in sales figure according to the company.
Recently, the company has revealed that pre-sales figure for two of Samsung’s flagship devices have broken new record as the number of pre-orders has gone up by more than 30 percent compared to the numbers for S7 back in 2016. While Samsung hasn’t revealed an exact number regarding the sales figure yet, the company is going to report its quarterly earnings pretty soon which will most likely give everyone a better idea regarding the sales performance for the device.
Earlier last week though, several consumers reported that a software bug has made their phones’ screen with more red tinted than they would like to have and later the company said that there’s nothing wrong with the device and it’s caused by a software bug. As a result, the company will send an update in the coming weeks to fix the issue. It’ll be interesting to see however, how many units the smartphone maker manages to sell as iPhone 8 is most likely coming at the end of the year which rumored to be the best iPhone till date. Whatever happens, the competition between Apple and Samsung has just got little bigger with the record pre-sales figure.
