Battlefield’s developer DICE is known for its traditional release of seasonal or quarterly patches. However, the developers have outlined its immediate plans to provide monthly patches that the company hopes will improve players’ experiences as the developers will get to utilize the test environment within the community much sooner than the traditional timelines.
As of now, there is no official words on when you will be able to get the update except the company said that the players will get the update “soon”. There’s some good news though. Since the game’s release, players have been asking for Platoons and the developers will finally release it along with the promised spring update. If the company maintains its words regarding the monthly updates, then you should be able to get the spring update later this month considering the first monthly update will come in your way in May.
Interestingly, DICE has mentioned that they are planning on improving the “operations” and to make it as frictionless as possible. Talking about the matches, the company introduced its plans to streamline the flow into matches in the game in general while “improving many gameplay grievances that will hopefully make the action feel more balanced and fair” and “a feature update to the Battlefield 1 Rent-A-Server Program.”
In case you want to spend some extra money, the upcoming release will also feature some paid contents Named Tsar which is set on the Eastern Front with players fighting the Russian army. DICE has promised “all new tactics,” as well as the usual maps, weapons, vehicles, and game modes.
