This year, Arrow has been a great hit for CW and the end is approaching pretty fast. While we finally got to know who the big bad Prometheus is, it doesn’t mean that viewers are still not wondering about the season finale and how the current season finale will lead to the next season.
Recently, Arrow showrunner Wendy Mericle teased about the current season finale. She said, “The alliances are going to be very surprising. You’re not going to believe who Oliver is working with to defeat Prometheus. It’s going to be really emotional. It’s going to be all about Oliver’s family, but not the family we’re thinking of right now. It’s going to end in a giant explosion, but not where we think it’s going to end, and the emotional punch is going to be bigger than the actual physical part of the bombs going off.”
As we have seen throughout the season, Prometheus is unlike any other Arrow villains from previous season since he isn’t particularly looking to mess up the Starling city. Recently we have seen that he is more concerned about hurting people closer to Oliver to hurt him badly which means we will see Oliver going to extreme measures to protect his family and others related to him. As Wendy Mericle pointed out, he is likely to form alliances with unlikely forces which might lead to further damage going into next season.
Recently it was confirmed that we will see Katie Cassidy returning as a series regular which means we might see more of her character in the upcoming episodes. Whatever happens, we will have to wait a long time to find out as the show is currently on hiatus until April 26. Hopefully, the show will not fail to deliver the promises created in this season so far. Arrow returns to CW on April 26. Stay tune to receive more news about the development as we are edging closer to the end of current season.
