Few hours back, DC Films and Warner Bros. released the official trailer for Justice League although we got first glimpse of the movie way back in last summer. While the trailer doesn’t spoil anything, fans were hoping the trailer would feature Superman but if you have seen the trailer, you might already know that there isn’t any mention of the superhero although we already know that the character will come back to live during the course of the movie. While we don’t for sure how big the role of superman will be in the upcoming movie, director Zack Snyder said to USA Today about the superhero’s return in the Justice League movie as he said,
“It’s hard to have a Justice League without Superman. That’s how I feel about it. It was always a super-intriguing concept to me to have this opportunity to have him make that sacrifice but also have him be this, in a weird sort of way, the why of Justice League: What do you do now with him? What does the team think? What does the world need? All that comes into play. It’s fun for us but it’ll be interesting for audiences what we do with him.”
As the movie still have a long time before its release, we might just see another scene that features superman. Although the character got a lot of attention during the interview, the director explained the character development of Batman played by Ben Affleck as he said,
“He’s been a loner for certainly his crime-fighting career, maybe with the exception of Robin. When we meet him in BvS, he’s definitely at this low point of isolation. That was always our intention, that Justice League would be this continuation for Batman to evolve into a more complete hero.”
While a large portion of the movie is still unknown, fans will get the chance to see how the events connects within the DCEU as standalone Wonder Woman movie is set for the June 2017 release.
